CHESTER CHARTER SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS

"The Chester Charter School for the Arts will prepare Chester children to employ their intellectual and creative powers to make a better world. All students will be supported in their efforts to master the academic curriculum, flourish in the arts, and develop superior critical-thinking, social and leadership skills."
John Alston, Founder

The mission of The Chester Fund for Education and the Arts is to ensure that disadvantaged children in Chester have access to superior arts and academic programming, and to demonstrate that Chester children can achieve great things with a great education.

With the support of the Chester Fund, the Chester Charter School for the Arts (CCSA) opened its doors to 325 students on Monday, September 10, 2012! The Chester Fund provides a stellar arts-infused education to children who might otherwise have no access to instruction and experiences in the fine arts. The school maintains an educational environment that combines academic rigor with artistic creativity. Currently serving students in kindergarten through Grade 6, CCSA will grow one grade each year up to Grade 12. The curriculum includes core classes in choral and instrumental music, dance, drama, and visual arts.

The Chester Charter School for the Arts will also devote classroom time to computer literacy and offer Spanish classes, beginning in kindergarten, and a physical education program. In January 2013, the school will offer an extended school-day program—with a continued focus on academics and the arts—for Grades 3 and above.

By supporting a superior education at CCSA, your generosity helps the children of Chester realize their enormous potential to become productive citizens and creative leaders.
