The Chester Charter School for the Arts is made possible by your financial generosity. Donations to The Chester Fund help CCSA to provide a comprehensive academic experience to our students in Kindergarten through 10th grade, and allow the school’s continued growth to include a full high school. By 2018, CCSA will serve 650 Chester youth in grades K–12, and will be the first and only K–12 public arts-integrated school in Pennsylvania.
Your annual giving supports all aspects of CCSA’s program — academics, literacy, arts, athletics, field trips, social-emotional services, service learning, college and career guidance, and after school and summer enrichment.
Your philanthropy makes the CCSA difference possible by supporting:
- A school-wide commitment to literacy and libraries, led by five full-time reading specialists
- A focus on social emotional learning and character development, supported by two guidance counselors and teaching assistants in every classroom
- Small classes with a student-adult ratio of 12:1 in every grade
- Extensive arts programming, led by full-time dance, music, drama, and visual art teachers
It costs $2000 per child over and above district and state funding to provide these exceptional aspects of a CCSA education. The Chester Fund has a goal to raise at least $840,000 per year to help cover these expenses.
